On the Third Day of Eid.. Arrest of Several Citizens Including Two Children

SadaNews - On the third day of Eid al-Fitr, the occupation forces continued their raids and arrest campaigns in various areas of the West Bank, launching a wide campaign early this Sunday resulting in the arrest of 8 Palestinians, including two children, after storming homes, rifling through their contents, and assaulting the residents.

In the town of Tuqu‘ southeast of Bethlehem, four citizens were arrested: Yasser Ibrahim Sabah and his son Yazan, in addition to Ahmad Ibrahim Sabah and Ibrahim Samir Sabah, following a raid on their homes and searches.

In the town of Beit Ummar north of Hebron, the occupation forces stormed several homes amidst cold and rainy weather, conducting field interrogations with the locals after vandalizing home contents. Soldiers also assaulted citizen Nasser Ayash Ikhlil (60 years old) in front of his family members.

The arrests in the town also included two teenagers: Hamza Rouhi Fakhrai Ikhlil (16 years old) and Amir Muhammad Hamad Abu Mariya (16 years old), who were transferred to an unknown location.

In the village of Deir Nitham northwest of Ramallah, teenager Muadh Ahmed al-Tamimi was arrested after a raid on his family’s home and a thorough search.

This campaign comes as part of a continued escalation of raids and arrests in the cities and towns of the West Bank, with a noticeable increase in targeting children during nighttime raids.

According to Palestinian data, more than 9,300 Palestinians are held in the occupation's prisons, including 79 women and 350 children, amid accusations of torture, starvation, and medical neglect, which have led to the deaths of some detainees.
