SadaNews Economy - Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa met today, Tuesday, in his office in Ramallah, with the Director General of the Jordanian-Palestinian Agricultural Marketing Company, Qais Al-Qattamin, in the presence of Minister of Agriculture Razaq Salimiah, the current president of the General Authority of the Jordanian-Palestinian Agricultural Marketing Company (JPACO), the Jordanian Ambassador to Palestine, Issam Al-Baddour, and the Deputy Director General and Director of the company’s branch in Palestine, Mr. Tareq Abu Khazran.
The Director General of the Jordanian-Palestinian Agricultural Marketing Company, Al-Qattamin, provided a comprehensive briefing on the company's achievements and future plans, especially in areas of value-added expansion, agricultural manufacturing, developing operational and logistical infrastructure, and enhancing regional and international partnerships.
The Deputy Director General and Director of the company’s branch in Palestine, Abu Khazran, reviewed the economic and developmental impact the company is making in Palestine and its role in supporting farmers and linking them to foreign markets, noting that the company exports agricultural products from Jordan and Palestine to regional and international markets, including Gulf countries, Arab markets, and European markets such as Slovakia, Romania, and Greece, adhering to the highest approved quality standards.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the role played by the Jordanian-Palestinian Agricultural Marketing Company as a practical and advanced model for regional economic cooperation, indicating that this model aligns with efforts aimed at supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people, promoting Arab economic cooperation, and empowering productive sectors, foremost among them the agricultural sector.
The Minister of Agriculture provided a comprehensive presentation on the general trends of the company’s work, based on a comprehensive integrative approach linking agricultural policies with marketing and agricultural manufacturing requirements, enhancing partnerships with the public and private sectors. He also pointed to the future dimension of the company’s work and the importance of this joint institutional model as a scalable and developable model in the future.
The Jordanian Ambassador confirmed that this institutional partnership reflects the commitment of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, to support the Palestinian people and enhance joint economic cooperation, stressing the role of the Jordanian-Palestinian Agricultural Marketing Company as a practical tool for translating political directives into tangible economic and developmental programs and projects.
