United Nations: Ship Traffic in the Strait of Hormuz Decreased by 95%
SadaNews - The United Nations has announced that the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz has decreased by 95.3% since the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran.
UN Secretary-General spokesperson Stefan Dujarric stated in the daily press conference held yesterday evening, that data from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development indicates that ship traffic through the strait has declined by 95.3% since the outbreak of the war on February 28.
Dujarric added that the restrictions imposed on the strait have led to a 6% increase in the prices of essential food items, and the price of crude oil for Europe has risen by 53%.
