Hebrew Channel: Israel Threatens to Limit Negotiations with Lebanon to Only Two Weeks
Translation by SadaNews - The Hebrew channel Reshet Kan reported on Tuesday evening that in Israel, they believe that the extended ceasefire agreement until mid-May is the timeframe to reach a real agreement with Lebanon.
The channel quoted an Israeli source as saying, as translated by SadaNews, "We cannot wait like this forever, and we will give a chance for negotiations for only two weeks, and that's it."
The source added: "After this period, Israel plans to return to fighting and intensive operations against Hezbollah."
The channel also indicated that during this period, the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump seeks to push for a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, although all parties concerned in Lebanon and Israel are skeptical about the feasibility of this step.
