Ukraine Announces Downing of 105 Russian Drones Overnight

SadaNews - The Ukrainian Air Force announced in a statement via the "Telegram" application today, Monday, that the Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 105 out of 126 drones launched by Russia during an overnight air attack.

The statement mentioned that Russian forces launched attacks on Ukraine overnight using an Iskander-M ballistic missile fired from the Rostov region, in addition to 126 drones of the "Shahed", "Gerbera", and "Italima" models, along with other deceptive models, launched from the Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk regions of Russia, as well as from Chuda and Hvardysky in the Crimean Peninsula, according to the Ukrainian national news agency, "Ukrinform".

The statement added that the attack was repelled by air defense units, electronic warfare units, drones, and mobile fire teams belonging to the Ukrainian Air Force and air defense.

According to the statement, by this morning, the air defense systems had downed or disrupted 105 Russian drones.

The Ukrainian military also announced that the number of killed and wounded Russian military personnel since the beginning of the war on Ukrainian territory on February 24, 2022, has risen to approximately 1,260,500 individuals, including 720 killed or injured in the last 24 hours.

This came in a statement published by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on their Facebook page, and reported by the Ukrainian national news agency, "Ukrinform", today, Monday.

According to the statement, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 11,696 tanks, 24,082 armored combat vehicles, 37,510 artillery systems, 1,654 multiple launch rocket systems, and 1,304 air defense systems since the beginning of the war.

The statement also mentioned that 435 warplanes, 348 helicopters, 143,878 drones, 4,347 cruise missiles, 29 warships, and submarines, 79,636 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 4,073 units of special equipment have also been destroyed.
