Two Romanians Sentenced for Stabbing an Iranian Journalist in London

SadaNews - A British court sentenced two Romanian men on Friday evening after they were found guilty of stabbing a journalist working for a Persian-speaking media organization in London, in a case that the prosecution claimed the defendants were acting on behalf of the Iranian government.

Booria Zarafie Vokalaei, known as Booria Zirati, a British-Iranian journalist working for "Iran International," was stabbed three times in the leg near his home in southwest London in March 2024.

Both Nandito Badia (21) and George Stana (25), according to Reuters, denied the charges of intentional wounding, but the Woolwich Crown Court in London found them guilty in June.

The court sentenced Badia to 8 years in prison and Stana to 12 years.
