
Prisoner Mahmoud Arada from Arraba Enters His 30th Year in Occupation Prisons
SadaNews - Today, Monday, prisoner Mahmoud Abdullah Ali Arada (50 years old) from the town of Arraba, south of Jenin, entered his 30th year in the occupation's prisons.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club in Jenin mentioned that Arada is among the six prisoners who managed to escape from Gilboa Prison in September 2021, before the occupation re-arrested them a few days later.
It pointed out that the occupation forces arrested prisoner Arada on 21/09/1996 and issued a life sentence against him in addition to 15 years. This is not his first arrest, as he was also arrested in 1992 and spent 41 months in occupation prisons. Furthermore, in his latest trial, he was sentenced to an additional 5 years with the prisoners who regained their freedom and was required to pay a fine of 5,000 shekels.
It is noteworthy that prisoner Arada obtained a high school diploma while in prison and a bachelor's degree in Islamic education; he is considered one of the cultural references inside the prisons and has authored several books and novels.
