Wael Kfoury Sparks Controversy with His Groom Outfit: What’s the Story?
SadaNews - The Lebanese artist Wael Kfoury has sparked a wave of controversy on social media after he published a photo from a wedding in which he appeared wearing a groom's suit next to a bride in a wedding dress, without revealing her features.
Wael Kfoury limited himself to a brief comment on the photo via his personal Instagram account, where he wrote: "The wedding video soon," leading the audience to question the authenticity of the Lebanese artist's announcement of his marriage, especially with many speculations circulating recently about the forthcoming arrival of a new baby.
At the same time, some dismissed the idea that the image was from Wael Kfoury's wedding, considering it a clever promotion strategy for his new artistic works, especially as he released his new album just a few days ago. Others speculated that the photo might be from a music video.
Wael Kfoury's album was released titled "WK25", where the Lebanese artist issued the first song from it titled "Baddi Gheir Fiki Al-Alam" on YouTube and music streaming platforms. Kfoury appeared in the music video for the song in a dark place wearing black clothes, in a dreamy dramatic atmosphere.
The Lebanese artist Wael Kfoury published a promotional video on his official Instagram account, revealing glimpses of his awaited album. In the video, Kfoury is seen writing by hand a set of phrases that are likely to be titles of new songs, including: "Baddi Gheir Fiki Al-Alam", "Baetthir Mink", "Enta Bi Ainay", "Sho Bitmanna", and "Enta Helwa".
This picture reignited discussions about Kfoury's relationship with Shana Aboud, especially since the couple was recently seen together as an indirect announcement of their marriage and their anticipation for their first child, prompting some to connect the photo with the artist's desire to announce the matter.
In a video circulated by many social media users, Wael Kfoury appeared with Shana Aboud in warm shots, placing his hand on her protruding belly while singing to her, which some considered an indirect announcement of her pregnancy and a confirmation of their marriage, despite his constant efforts to maintain his privacy away from the media and social platforms.
Since the onset of rumors about his relationship with Shana Aboud, Wael Kfoury chose to remain silent and neither confirm nor discuss these rumors over the past three years. Despite her previous appearance beside a cake adorned with stars in her home, the image was not clear.
On several occasions, the cameras captured Shana Aboud appearing near Wael Kfoury, the most notable being the wedding of their mutual friend Joseph Haiba, where photos of them together were taken, leading some to consider it an indirect announcement of their relationship.
The situation became clearer after their close friend, poet Habib Bou Anton, posted the image and wrote: "Oh moon, light up the sky, according to astronomical science, the kingdom needs a king and the king needs a queen," in a clear hint at the couple's romantic relationship.
It is noted that Shana Aboud, a Lebanese woman born in 1986, works in the banking sector, was married once, and has one child. She does not have accounts on social media, and her appearances are rare; it is evident she prefers to keep her life away from the spotlight.
Some consider the speculation around Wael Kfoury’s marriage as a shift from his previously sharp stance on the idea of marriage following his first divorce from his first wife, Angela Bashara, as he referred in a press interview to marriage as the most failed institution in life, adding: "Marriage is stability and suffocation, but in the end, a person wants to start a family, get married, and have children."
