"Leave Immediately".. The U.S. Advises Its Citizens to Exit 12 Countries
SadaNews - The U.S. Department of State has urged all American citizens to leave more than 12 countries in the Middle East due to security risks arising from the ongoing escalation of the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran.
Mora Namdar, Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs, posted on the platform "X" that Americans in countries including Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Israel should "leave now" using any available commercial transportation.
The list also included Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Syria, and Yemen.
This directive comes as several major airlines have canceled flights to and from the region amid the ongoing war that erupted when the U.S. and Israel launched an attack on Iran last Saturday, which later expanded into a broader regional conflict involving almost all neighboring Arab countries.
U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized that he is not afraid to send American troops into Iranian territory and will not hesitate "if necessary," threatening a "new and major wave of attacks."
During an event held at the White House on Monday, Trump stated that the decision to go to war with Iran was the "last and best chance" to prevent Tehran from developing its nuclear program, noting that Washington is capable of "continuing the war for much longer than 4 to 5 weeks."
The U.S. and Israel launched a wide-ranging joint attack on Iran from Saturday morning, resulting in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and dozens of military leaders, in addition to targeting air defenses and missile launch platforms.
Tehran responded by launching a broad wave of missiles targeting various areas in Israel, resulting in casualties and damage to infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, and Jordan were also targeted by Iranian missile strikes, which the Iranian Revolutionary Guard claimed were in retaliation for the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran.
Gulf countries condemned these attacks, describing them as a flagrant violation of their sovereignty and an escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
