Injuries and Arrests in Attacks by Occupation Forces and Settlers in Jerusalem and the West Bank

SadaNews - Many citizens were injured and arrested on Monday evening due to attacks by occupation forces and settlers in various areas of occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Two young men were injured as a result of settlers attacking the "Hithra" gathering near the Khan al-Ahmar area south of Jericho.

The General Supervisor of the "Bader" Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, Hassan Malehat, explained that the settlers attacked citizens by beating them with sticks and sprayed them with pepper spray, all under the protection of the occupation forces present at the scene.

He added that the two attacked were Dawood Ara'ara and Mahmoud Ara'ara, who were injured as a result of the assault.

Meanwhile, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that settlers stormed the home of citizen Yusuf al-Zawahra in the Khallat al-Sadra Bedouin gathering near the town of Mukhmas north of occupied Jerusalem, wreaking havoc before proceeding to steal a water tank and blocking the road leading to the home.

In another incident, armed settlers attacked a shepherd and stole his sheep in the Yatta plain south of Hebron.

Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamra reported that a group of armed settlers stole seven heads of sheep from citizen Haitham A'id Mar after chasing him and cutting him off near the Al-Duqeeqah area in the Yatta plain, and they beat him violently, leading to bruises on his body, while also breaking his mobile phone.

He added that an armed settler attempted to attack citizens in the Hawara area in Masafer Yatta, with no injuries reported, before releasing his sheep into agricultural crops near the home of citizen Khalil Mahmoud al-Hammadeh.

In a related context, a local source reported that the occupation forces set up an iron gate between the towns of Beit Ummer and Surif from the western side of Beit Ummer.

Meanwhile, another force arrested five young men from the town of Ya'bad south of Jenin after a raid that lasted more than six hours.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces arrested: Tareq Jawabrah, Mohammed Hamdouni, Mousa Bajawi, Mohammed Qabha, and Amir Qabha, after raiding their homes and searching them.

They added that the occupation forces confiscated a wedding hall in the town and turned it into a field interrogation center, where they detained a large number of citizens and interrogated them on the spot before withdrawing from the town.

The occupation forces also stormed the town of Bedia west of Salfit.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the town and spread around the Bedia fuel station and several commercial shops located on the main street, with no arrests or injuries reported by the time this news was prepared.
