Awqaf Ministry Condemns Attempts by Settlers to Burn Mosque in Nablus
SadaNews - The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs condemned the attempt by a group of settler gangs to burn the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque in the village of Tal in Nablus, but their attempt failed. The ministry stated that these gangs attack Islamic holy sites and citizen properties on a daily basis, noting a systematic increase in the frequency and nature of these violations. The ministry explained that these gangs, under the protection of the occupation, attacked 45 mosques last year, 2025.
The Ministry of Awqaf stated in a statement that the attempt to burn the mosque clearly indicates the barbarism to which the Israeli racist incitement machine has led regarding Islamic and Christian holy sites in Palestine, adding that this crime is a blatant assault on Muslims and their feelings.
The Awqaf Ministry added that the repeated attacks on holy sites, including burning, closing, and preventing the call to prayer, are merely evidence of the level of ferocious barbarism from which the occupation operates, considering that this crime has exceeded all international laws and regulations that guarantee freedom of worship and the establishment of places of worship.
