OIC Condemns Israeli Occupation's Approval of 34 New Settlements in the West Bank

SadaNews - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the Israeli occupation government's approval of the establishment of 34 new colonial settlements in the occupied West Bank, in a blatant violation of international law and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334. The General Secretariat affirmed that Israel, the occupying power, has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, and that all of its actions aimed at altering the geographical and demographic reality there are considered null and void under international law. It also warned of the dangers of escalating settlement policies, land confiscation, settler terrorism, annexation attempts, and the imposition of alleged Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank, stressing that this aims to undermine the two-state solution and violate the rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, based on the borders of June 4, 1967. At the same time, the General Secretariat called on the international community to bear its responsibilities to put an end to all Israeli crimes and violations against the Palestinian people, their land, and their sanctities.
