SadaNews - U.S. envoy Steve Weitkoff confirmed on Tuesday evening that new meetings will be held next week regarding the war in Gaza as well as Ukraine and Russia, and also with Iran.
Weitkoff indicated during a meeting with his government that President Donald Trump's administration will work to push for solutions to the three conflicts within this year.
He pointed out that there are negotiations with several parties regarding the expansion of the Abraham Accords, stating: "Peace through strength is indeed proving successful."
He noted that the families of Israeli captives often urge Trump to intervene in the exchange deal, saying directed at him: "In the kidnappers' square in Tel Aviv, they talk about you a lot... I wish I had a camera to show you what they say about you."
This comes at a time when Benjamin Netanyahu's government is ignoring a proposal presented by mediators, which Hamas has agreed to, regarding a partial deal in preparation for a comprehensive agreement.
Later, Trump said that the war in Gaza has been ongoing for some time and hopes that we reach a solution soon for both the Gaza and Ukraine wars.
He added: I want to reach an agreement to end the war in Ukraine and I believe I will succeed in that.
He continued: We have economic sanctions regarding the war in Ukraine, and we will not enter a third world war.
