As part of the World University Rankings Conference activities.. AN-Najah National University is the only Arab university to win two prestigious awards at the THE Awards Arab World 2025

SadaNews - AN-Najah National University has achieved a new qualitative milestone in Arab higher education by winning two prestigious awards at the THE Awards Arab World 2025 during the global rankings conference. The awards were received on behalf of AN-Najah National University by Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Khayat, the university's Vice President for Academic Affairs, in the presence of a delegation from the university that included Professor Walid Suweilih, Dean of Scientific Research and Director of the Academic Global Rankings Department, Engineer Fadia Hashayka from the Academic Global Rankings Department, Professor Samar Abu Maghli representing the Office of Partnerships and Global Initiatives, and Engineer Anan Al-Aghbar representing the university presidency office.

The university received the award for "Outstanding Support for Students" and the award for "Outstanding Contribution to Environmental Leadership," making it the only university in the Arab world to win two awards in this edition. It is noteworthy that the university won last year the award for the International Strategy category for 2024.

This excellence came amid competition from over 200 Arab universities that submitted more than 700 projects competing for 12 awards in various categories. AN-Najah University has qualified for the shortlist in five categories for the third consecutive year, reflecting its leadership and continuous advancement in various fields of academic excellence.

The Times report indicated that Palestine topped the results of the 2025 awards by obtaining three awards, two of which were for AN-Najah National University and one for the University of Palestine. This enhances its international presence and prestigious academic status.

The university president expressed pride in this achievement, noting that these awards represent international recognition of the university’s excellence in serving students and the community, as well as its ongoing efforts in international partnerships, innovation, scientific research, and sustainable development. He also thanked all university faculties and departments that submitted competitive projects.

This victory reflects a clear message that AN-Najah National University continues to establish its position as a leading university capable of competing regionally and internationally through its quality projects and impactful initiatives in the fields of education, research, community development, and environmental issues.
